The Garland/Richardson A&M University Mothers' Club was established to aid and support Texas A&M students from Garland, Richardson and surrounding areas, and bring together the mothers of current and former students. Texas A&M is a large family, which includes the parents of the students. Our club extends that family into the Garland/Richardson/Mesquite ISD's and allows for the sharing of ideas, problems, and concerns that may arise concerning the student.

At each monthly meeting, a program is presented to educate the parents on a different program or function at the University. There are other activities during each month which are designed to allow the mothers to become acquainted and spend time together. Members may participate in the following activities:

Every April the parents of Aggies gather in College Station to spend a weekend with their college students. There are many wonderful activities planned, such as an Aggie Moms Boutique, The Singing Cadets concert, The Talent Show (which is a riot), and the most fantastic and BIGGEST Barbeque ever.

Each year we get together for a party and dinner to celebrate the Holidays, exchange gifts and enjoy each other's company.

Each year we have a reception to welcome new Aggies and their families in our area to our family.

During the academic year, members meet to do crafts that are sold during Parents' Weekend in the Boutique and at the Holiday Craft Fair in the MSC. The proceeds are used as scholarships for Texas A&M students, birthday gifts for the students, and to pay for our events. It is a very nice way to spend an evening.
